Advocacy in HarrisburgNorthCentralRosa

The Greater Philadelphia Chapter and the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of The ALS Association are working together to seek funding and support from the state of Pennsylvania. With the help of Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-100), Rep. David Millard, Sen. Pat Vance, and other allies in Harrisburg, we have been working steadily toward this goal. In 2012, the Pennsylvania legislature approved a $300,000 line item for ALS patient services. With your voice, we can continue this funding and expand it for the 900 families The ALS Association serves in the state.

Over the course of the coming year, we must reach out to every legislator and request their support for this important effort. If you would like to receive regular email updates regarding these issues, or if you have any questions about this effort, please contact Tony Heyl at (215) 643-5434 or tony@alsphiladelphia.org.

Click here for information on our Press Conference on April 22, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the Harrisburg Capitol Rotunda where we will thank Senator Pat Vance and Representative David Millard for their help in fighting ALS.

Watch last year's press conference to see why this fight is so important:
