Walk to Defeat ALS Strolls Down Ocean City Boardwalk

OCEAN CITY - Hundreds turned out in Ocean City to 'Walk to Defeat ALS.'

Family and friends walked the Ocean City boardwalk Saturday morning to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease, also known as ALS. The disease causes people to gradually lose their ability to walk, move their arms, swallow, talk and even breathe.
ALS affects as many as 30,000 Americans annually and there is no known cure for it.
